New Jersey is embracing a "baby box" program in the style of Scandinavia.  The boxes are given to new parents and are filled with infant essentials.  The boxes can then be used as a bed for the baby.  It cuts down on the risk of death in bed.

On the same topic, Ethan Millard told his experience using a special mat for newborns.  The mat fits under the baby mattress and is sensitive enough to detect its tiny breaths and heartbeat.  If those stop, an alarm sounds.

Alex Kirry told the story of finding a tack at a Chinese restaurant in Provo.  Maybe it was Orem.  Anyway, somewhere in Utah County, Utah.  Wait, it was American Fork, Utah.

This was parlayed into the news story of women in Fulsom California who saw a rat in a restaurant.  The restaurant was called Fat's Asia Bistro.  On the check was a $30 discount with the note "seen rat"
