The Pilot stars Genevieve Morton, a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model who was also featured in Sharknado 3.

Alex Kirry is in Disneyland and by coincidence Disneyland came to the Nightside studio to talk about the return of The Main Street Electrical Parade.

Disneyland sent Mickey Mouse and Eddy Collins to describe how amazing it is to have the parade back after all these years.

Alex also got a few Disneyland pro- tips:

-Go to the Princess Fantasy Faire and see several princesses all at once instead of trying to hunt for them in the park

-Aerial's Grotto at California Adventure is another place where you can see lots of princesses in one place but also have some lunch

We also talk food (big surprise)

-Eddy recommends Pizza Port. The kids will love the food and you can watch the Star Wars shows while you're there.

-Ethan and Alex recommend the Monte Cristo sandwich at Orleans Cafe

-Eddy recommends Napa Rose at Disney California Adventure

-We unanimously support the smoked turkey leg.

A few other pro tips include using the stroller pass and the fast pass if you have kids.

If you're going to see a parade, ask where it starts and sit there. Then you get a 15-20 minute head start on everyone else when the parade is over.

Make sure you pick up the Disneyland App

Virgil Williams has been a network TV writer for more than 15 years on game-changing shows like '24', 'ER', and 'Criminal Minds.' His new film called Mudbound, deals with race relations in post-World War II Mississippi. The film stars Carey Mulligan, Garrett Hedlund, Jason Clarke, Jason Mitchell and Mary J. Blige. Based on the 2008 award winning novel by Hillary Jordan, "Mudbound" was one of the most talked about films at Sundance 2017. Williams says making the film changed his life.

Allen Maldonado of hit sitcom Blackish and Straight out of Compton sits in with Ethan Millard and Alex Kirry from Sundance 2017 to discuss his career, the projects he's worked on and how creating content has become easier for the filmmaker and how digital content creation is the best form of art. He also talks about how much fun it is in the Blackish Writers room and table reads.

Based on the book, "Mudbound" his feature film of the same name has become the biggest hit so far of Sundance. Virgil Williams has been a network TV writer for more than 15 years on game-changing shows like '24', 'ER', and 'Criminal Minds' and his World War II movie Mudbound deals with race relations in the post-world war II south on the Mississippi delta in a project that he says changed his life.

The video game industry is as big and profitable now as the film industry and Keith Arem, of the 90's Industrial Metal band 'Contagion' fame, sits with Ethan Millard and Alex Kirry from the Producer's lounge at the Sundance Film Festival 2017 to discuss his sci-fi thriller "The Phoenix Incident" and also his contributions to the video game industry having directed and done sound and music for Metro, Bioshock, Call of Duty, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater among others, and explains where making films and making video games intersects. Recorded in Park City Utah

Today Ethan Millard and Alex Kirry take on some first world problems.

They include a customer service misfire at Banana Republic at City Creek in Salt Lake City

Also in the mix are the thieves that steal third row seats from Suburbans. Apparently this happens a lot at Disneyland of all places!

His band Contagion and their hit "Scratch" was just the beginning. Keith Arem's new Sundance Film, "The Phoenix Incident," addresses the 1997 UFO event that most people don't know much about. The US Air Force and Hail Bop Comet make for one great big conspiracy theory. Arem took time off of his Video Game music composition and directing to make the film. A sequel to "The Phoenix Incident" is already in the works. Keith Arem, of Call of Duty fame among so many other titles including composing the soundtracks for Tony Hawk's game, visits with Ethan Millard and Alex Kirry.

Special thanks to Robert Beatty from Zumm for hosting us at The Producer's Lounge from the 2017 Sundance Film Festival.

Sunset On The River Styx is a horror film featured at the Sundance Film Festival. We talked to Avery Pohl about her experience making a horror film. She says it didn't give her nightmares, but she was expected to sleep at that actual location of the film, a large (probably haunted) house. That was freaky.

This isn't her first time at Sundance and it won't be her last.

We also talk with her about her experiences at a young actor and what she does for school and friends.

Her past projects include The New Hardy Boys, Sound Of My Voice, Criminal Minds, and The Glades

Alex Kirry and Ethan Millard talk about the Flint, Michigan water issues that some officials claim is totally resolved but also tell folks not to drink it still. Assistant Attorney General for the State says its safe to drink, but not to drink it. Makes total sense. Running red lights in Ohio is going to be legal in new circumstances and if you have a cell phone in hand in Honolulu while crossing the street on foot, you'll get a ticket

Matt Jarman, CEO of Clearplay talks about the the law and filtering movies in your home. The VidAngel situation now that they have had an injunction served and aren't operating as they were before, where is the line when it comes to filtering out movies and making content out of someone else's work and reselling it. This is an interview Alex Kirry and Ethan Millard did with Matt at the Producer's lounge at Sundance this year. An army of Clearplay employees have to watch all the bad stuff so you don't have to. Taking a moral hit for the team.

Alex Kirry and Ethan Millard discuss the Ohio youngster, who at the ripe age of ten, stole his family's car and led police on a weird chase. Which led Alex to confess to sins of driving without a license when he was younger. Also, The guys just want to remind you that doing even doggy narcotics is habit forming. Plus, the newest way carjackers imagined up a scenario to steal a car from a woman. Thankfully we have some #zenheadlines to ease your troubles like the story of volunteers in India, who are getting colder than usual temperatures, custom-making elephant sweaters so that they can stay toasty.

Alex Kirry and Ethan Millard hit the road and record from Ethan's Car and inside McDonalds to see if they can score a bottle of the famed McDonald's Special Sauce after it was revealed that they were giving Utah 100 at only one store in the entire state for its residents to fight over. Shameless marketing is one thing, we wanted to get our hands on an actual bottle, which we did, but then it was ripped away form us because the giveaway wasn't until later. Also, in the process of getting their hearts broken, they were told why the McRib never came to Utah last year. They also meet some people from California who are in town for Sundance but took a detour to get the limited edition bottles. Will the guys convince the corporate hamburger giant to give up a bottle?

Jan 26, 2017

Is it really just Thousand Island Sauce? Maybe. Is it terrible for you? For sure. Alex Kirry and Ethan Millard are fascinated if not a tiny bit obsessed with food giveaways but McDonald's marketing is stepping up with a nation-wide Bic Mac Special Sauce giveaway. Alex is skeptical that its merely a gimmick to giveaway thousand island dressing but the 10000 available across the nation brings about 100 bottles to Utah.

Christina Robinson from the hit Showtime TV series Dexter drops by The Producer's Lounge at Sundance 2017. During the interview she tells us about her new film "Emma's Chance," her twin sister and what it's like working as a child actor on a TV show about serial killers.

Alex Kirry and Ethan Millard get to sit down with Cassidy Freeman who they love from the hit Netflix show "Longmire." Cassidy plays Cady Longmire in the series. In the interview Cassidy talks about "Cortez" the new film she produced that was featured at Slamdance 2017. She also discusses life with parents who were corporate lawyers and how cool it is that she gets to play one now on TV. BTW her Dad is very proud. Plus, what it's like growing up in Chicago and Montana and how her Dad told her that if she didn't get this part as a Lawyer from Wyoming that she should quit acting.

Daniel Houck is the subject of a unique documentary called "Strad Style" at Slamdance 2017. This is by far the most different interview that Alex Kirry and Ethan Millard did up in Park City at the Slamdance and Sundance Film Festivals. Houck is a single man from Laurelville, Ohio and he has nothing to his name. No job. No formal education. No money. No resources. The one thing he has is obsession. He wants to be a world-class violin maker. Houck somehow befriends a European Violin Virtuoso, Razvan Stoica, who he convinces that he can make him a world-class violin. However, Houck isn't a world-class violin maker and his money situation is dire as the bill collectors are calling daily. Houck is one of the coolest, humble, and self-aware men The Nightside Project has ever interviewed. He has one shot to prove himself and make this violin. Can he do it?

Alex Kirry and Ethan Millard couldn't be happier to be back in the studio and out of Park City for the Sundance Film Festival. They had a blast but its just good to be home. Speaking of movies, La La Land gets a record number of Oscar nods at 14 which actually makes the guys want to see it less. John Elway in a cab lets cabbie spout off about who he thinks the best QB of all time is in the NFL, he says Elway and then looks in the back only to see the Hall of Fame QB in the seat as a passenger. Then the show is taken over by redneck stories out of Florida first where a gator swamp tour gets a visit in the boat from a leaping lizard and a redneck gender reveal party ends in a police citation.

Vocalist Aleisha Simpson from "Emotional Metal" group, Heart Avail, joins Ethan Millard and Alex Kirry in The Producer's Lounge at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. During the interview Aleisha shares some insights about the music industry and what it's like performing at Grammy parties. Episode highlight is a romantic a cappella duet with Aleisha and ALex Kirry of Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors."
